So Big!

Sierra is 9 1/2 months old, I can't believe how big she is getting. She is crawling all over everywhere and pulling herself up to almost everything! She thinks she is hot stuff when she is standing up. She has two teeth on the bottom and is working on two more also on the bottom. She says some "words." It is absolutely adorable when she calls out for her sister "Yeya!" I love that my girls are so happy together, they love each other so much! I predict that when Micaela starts school Sierra will look all over for her and be sad when she is nowhere to be found.
Yes Micaela will be starting Kindergarten in July. She is so excited and can't wait, the other night she said "Mom can you let me know when it is the day before school starts." I thought don't worry it is a while away, then I thought again and my little girl will be starting school next month. Where does the time go?

General Conference

Absolutely love general conference, it gives me a chance to listen to our wonderfully inspired prophet and apostles speak the word of God. This talk from Elder Scott was one of my very favorites.

Yay Spring!!!

Okay let's just get it out there, who hasn't had Spring Fever? No one I know! I am so glad to have some spring days. So I have been making them count because all who live in Utah know that the weather can change on a dime. The girls love to be outside, Sierra especially loves the sunshine (she is a summer girl, just like her mama).

Favorite Layout

I have been trying to scrapbook a lot lately and finished a layout yesterday that I am particularly proud of. It was mostly done with scraps.

More things I have made

Okay so I decided for Christmas I would make Sierra a rag quilt. Wow I sure underestimated the time it would take to make the thing. It turned out really cute but I think it will be the first and the last quilt I will ever make.

With the extra material I made a tag blanket for Sierra as well, she absolutely loves to play with tags.

The Time Has Come

Well the time has finally come for me to be released from my calling as the Primary President. I have known this was coming for a week so I had that time to prepare and ponder on what that meant to me. To my surprise I was a lot sadder than I thought I would be. Don't get me wrong I knew I would be sad but I didn't think it would be to the point that if I thought about it too much I would go into tears.
Being released has my emotions all over the place. I am relieved; however I am sad. I have had some wonderful spiritual experiences serving, most of which happened in leadership meetings or when learning new songs. I have served with some amazing women, who I have grown to truly love and am so blessed I can call them my friends.
This calling has truly been one of joy mixed with frustration. I have learned some very valuable lessons. I have had to learn to be patient, more compassionate, flexible and understanding (all at times are works in progress). I love my Savior Jesus Christ I know he lives and He died for me. He felt every pain and every frustration when He atoned for me. He has helped me through rough times, I know I would not have made it through those times without the Savior by my side or carrying me. Most of all I know he atoned not only for me but for every one of the children I have grown to love. I learned to see the children as our savior does and that is a lesson I plan to keep with me the rest of my life.

Holidays

I so love holidays if I had the money I would have decorations for all sorts of holidays. I don't have the money to buy tons of decorations nor do I have the space to store tons of decorations so changing by blog background every so often will have to do!
St. Patrick's Day was always a fun holiday in our house growing up. I looked forward to having our annual corned beef and cabbage and have tried to carry on that fun tradition in my own family. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I love family traditions and am trying to create new fun family traditions my girls can look forward to, as I did as a girl and as I do now as an adult.
